Swann Auction Galleries Sale #2732: The only regularly scheduled auction of its kind in the world, this auction will span Black history and culture from the eighteenth through twenty-first centuries. Book highlights include a 1903 first edition, first printing or "The Souls of Black Folk" by W.E.B. Du Bois.

Photographs include works by the important early Black photographers John Presley Ball and Daniel Freeman, and two 1898 photo albums from a Louisville community center show basketball games, theatrical productions, and overcrowded classrooms.

Graphic appeal comes from a large 1900 promotional poster for soprano Mattie Vera Wilkes, a 1973 poster for the inaugural Harlem Bicycle Championship, and a 1967 poster from the historic campaign by Carl Stokes for mayor of Cleveland. Other twentieth-century highlights include the actor Douglas Turner Ward's copy of the script for "A Raisin in the Sun," signed by Broadway lead Sidney Poitier, and a copy of Lorraine Hansberry's 1965 book "A Matter of Colour" signed by Martin Luther King, Jr. and several other historic civil rights leaders.
